Notes

"Aberdeen Family.
35.
. . . . John Ledingham's second son George followed the profession of a
plumber, and at the end of his apprenticeship, when still a young man,
went to Sunderland and still remains in England. He was a capable
workman, one of the best at his trade in Sunderland. He married an
English bride and had a family of two sons and three daughters. His
sons, John and George, were both in the Great War. George, who had
emigrated to Canada, joined up with a Canadian contingent. He was
severely gassed, and but for a robust constitution would not have
recovered, which he fortunately did after a time. John, his brother,
also suffered in the war, he was wounded and removed to a Scottish
Hospital, but he also recovered from his wounds and the hardships of the War. Both
have now returned to Canada to their former occupations.

Of the three daughters of George Ledingham three are married; one is a
Mrs Barclay and lives in Glasgow, the other married daughter is in
Canada, and the third daughter is at home, so far as we know. This
completes the record of George Ledingham and his family. We might
mention that he spent several holidays in Aberdeen and was greatly
delighted with his sojourn in the "Silver City by the Sea."
